Aims of the course
So far lingual orthodontics is supposed to be extremely difficult to apply and that only few specialists would have the ability and time to prepare the necessary indirect bonding setup. The 2D Lingual appliance was studied for a long period and successfully applied by the Insubria study group in Varese/ Italy. It has the outstanding advantage that it can be bonded directly without the need for any setup procedure in a dental laboratory.

Furthermore this appliance is extremely flat so that it is much easier for the patient to adapt to the brackets. With the Forestadent 2D Lingual appliance already a good portion of all lingual cases can be treated successfully. And the 2D Plus Lingual bracket widens the field of applications even more.

The aim of the course at Dr. Cacciafesta’s office is to provide orthodontists who already have basic experience with 2D Lingual orthodontics with even more information. More complex cases such as extractions or impacted canines will be discussed and you will be introduced to a variety of helpful auxiliaries.

However, the special feature of this seminar is that Dr. Cacciafesta will invite a good number of his patients. This allows the participants to see different stages of the 2D Lingual treatment chairside on patients and to learn Dr. Cacciafesta’s tricks to finish lingual cases successfully.
