At the beginning of October 2008, FORESTADENT hosted its symposium on the Greek peninsula Vouliagmeni near Athens, the land of legends and myths. Hundreds of orthodontists from all over the world caught up on the latest treatment techniques and materials in top-class presentations. Whether they were interested in mini screws or self-ligating bracket systems – the topics were diverse and exciting. In so-called expert roundtables, renowned experts in their fields discussed diverse topics like molar distalisation, lingual treatment or space closing. Not only was the scientific part varied and exciting, the social program left nothing to be desired. After the traditional get-together on the eve of the event, participants had the option to enjoy a culinary delight at the Gala Diner in the Vorres museum. Or, if they preferred, they could have a drink or dance with colleagues; the discotheque Akrotiri afforded the best opportunity for this.
