Convincing performance by FORESTADENT at IDS

With more than 155,000 trade visitors, over 60 percent of them coming from abroad, and around 2,300 exhibitors from 59 countries presenting their product innovations over an area of 163,000 m2, IDS once again demonstrated that its reputation as the world's leading trade show for the dental industry is justified. Just as it did two years ago, digitisation was the megatrend weaving its way through all halls at this year’s event like a red thread. Digital diagnostic and production processes as well as innovative network solutions for practices and laboratories took centre stage again. FORESTADENT’s exhibition booth also reflected this current trend in the dental market, which is also becoming more and more central in orthodontics. The company made the most of this unique opportunity to present its Accusmile® aligner service for instance.

Tailor-made introduction to digital aligner therapy
Accusmile® opens up opportunities for orthodontists to introduce digital aligner therapy to their practice. Digital planning and production of the aligner is tailored perfectly to the needs of the practice and technical equipment available. From digitising models, treatment planning, 3D printing of the arches to deep-drawing the aligners – each practice decides for itself which proportion of the value added chain is right for their premises.
The two new Accusmile® packages have been shown to be very attractive. They are FORESTADENT’s solution particularly to more straightforward cases such as crowding, relapse and smaller gaps. Each package includes scanning of the plaster models, treatment proposals and model printing for one upper/lower case with a maximum of 16 models (Package 1), or either one upper or lower case with a maximum of 8 models (Package 2). Deep-drawing takes place at the practice or at FORESTADENT (subject to a surcharge).

Another highlight was the FORESTADENT Distributor’s Night, when the company makes the most of their attendance at IDS by inviting its dealers from around the world to dinner. Around 70 representatives from 20 countries came together at the panoramic OSMAN restaurant in Cologne to learn more about FORESTADENT’s latest developments. The event was also an opportunity to welcome Bernhard Förster. He is the brother of the company’s managing director Stefan Förster and joined the company on 1st April.
