In addition to the conventional spindle, FORESTADENT memory screws also have an integrated spring which ensures a consistent expansion reserve and even transfer of forces. The elastic spring guarantees a higher patient comfort and quicker expansion, even at low patient cooperation. Readjustment of the screws is only required once the spring deflection is fully exploited.

The Memory mid line expansion screw, which is available in the second generation, is suited for use in the maxilla and mandible. It allows for a total expansion of 5 mm at a spring force of 500g. The spring deflection is 0.8 mm.
